Amy Stoddard, LPC is a Pittsburgh native with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women's and Gender Studies from Duquesne University, and a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University.
Amy has counseled children, adolescents, adults, and groups. She specializes in trauma-based counseling. Most of her clients have had a history of trauma, mental health disorders or drug and alcohol addictions. Traumas she has treated include domestic violence, physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault, and combat experience with veterans. She has also worked with partners of individuals with sex addictions, also from a trauma-based perspective.
Another clinical specialty is helping clients struggling with body image. She enjoys integrating physical and spiritual practices into her work, including using walking, dancing, yoga, artwork, and meditation—whatever is most helpful to a particular client.
